These glasses are tougher than most designs due to the DuraTuff process of tempering the glass material. They are balanced well, and easy to clean. They seem to have a natural contour which makes the glasses easy to hold on to. Many times in our restaurant, when one drops one of these on the floor, it does not break, however when it does break, it seems like the breakage pattern of dense crystal, rather than merly glass. The glass denstity is thicker than normal, and so if you freeze the glass, it will keep a beverage cold longer than most designs. One more thing - you will see this glass pattern in commercial use at many bars and restaurants, which is a defacto testament to their durability, and popularity. There is a huge array of sizes in this "Gibralter" collection available too. The "Gilbralter" design ... it never seems goes out of style.

I bought these by accident - an errant click into a full shopping cart. I told my wife they will go back or be gifts if she didn't like them. Out went a pile of glasses, and the only criticism I received is that I didn't get a second set.

I remedied that problem.

These glasses are designed well for cleaning. You can reach an ordinary hand to the bottom.

We have twenty grandchildren, so what was I thinking buying dual sets of 8!

You'd better have a concrete floor handy if you want to break one of these glasses. I have the larger sizes that I purchased locally and I find that they are comfortable in the hand as well as attractive on an informal table. They go through the dishwasher regularly and after months of use they have no scratches. Oh, yes. They are movie stars. If you have seen "The Rundown," an action movie with a sense of humor, you will see the female lead drinking from one in her bar.

These are high quality glasses that we've been using in my house for years. Over the last several months, my kids have developed butter fingers and have dropped a few on the kitchen floor (ceramic tile). So it was time to replace some. This is a great set because it has 8 tall glasses and 8 short ones. The price can't be beat either. The glasses are great for everyday use or for serving drinks at parties. Very durable and take a beating with no problem (except when dropped on ceramic tile floors!). Just throw 'em in the dishwasher to clean 'em. No need to worry that they're too delicate. Oh...and the standard shipping from Macy's was FAST! Got them in just two days. And they were packed very safely. Reasonable shipping fee, too ($4.95). I would recommend these glasses to anyone!

Perfect glasses for everyday. Just the right size for water and juice glasses. Very sturdy. Still look great after several trips through the dishwasher.

These classes are great. Sturdy, heavy glass. The fluting makes them easy to hold. We use them every day but they are pretty enough for company. We bought two sets.

The shipping from Macy's was reasonable and took less than a week from order to delivery here in Maine.

These glasses are great! The heavy bottoms add stability to their attractive shape. They feel as good to the hand as they look.

These are the perfect everyday glasses, especially if you have kids around -- they're sturdy and weighted (bot not TOO heavy), and hold up to years of use with no problems at all!

This product is very nice. But don't buy it because of the best value deal. The companion product is currently not in stock, but Amazon's webpage doesn't mention that. I ordered the best value deal on 27 February. The 16-piece set has been already shipped to me, but I am now being asked to wait for the 4-piece until early June.
