Ideal for stylish entertaining, this set of 16 matching glasses equips a bar to serve many cold drinks, from Scotch on the rocks to mint juleps. The set consists of eight tall, 18-ounce cooler glasses and eight short, 13-ounce double old-fashioned glasses in Libbey's contemporary Imperial pattern. Made of medium-thick glass, the glasses have slender, raised flutings that rise from the four corners of the bases. The 6-3/4-inch cooler glasses measure 2-7/8 inches in diameter at the tops, flare in the middle, and taper slightly to 2-1/8 inches square at the bottoms. The 2-5/8-inch double old-fashioned glasses measure 3-1/2 inches in diameter at the tops, also flare in the middle, and taper slightly to 2-3/4 inches square at the bottoms. Too fragile,

I bought this beverage set through Amazon's Gold Box. My original review was premature. After getting the glasses, I thought they were nice. But a couple years later, we have maybe two or three of the original set still standing. A couple we broke due to clumsiness, but the rest broke too easily, in the dishwasher or on minor contact. The glasses are thick at the bottom but thin enough at the top that they'll break easily. I must disqualify my original review. The review edit feature isn't letting me change the star rating, but I'd drop it to two stars if it would let me.

We picked these out for our wedding registry and have been disappointed. They have a nice grip, but they break very easily. Do not put them in the dishwahser unless you want to spend the next day sorting through broken glass. I would not suggest that anyone purchase these, especially if they have children.

Poor Quality Control,

These glasses arrived unbalanced, with lopsided bases and uneven rims. These would be called seconds or thirds by most standards. I don't know what happened in quality control since earlier reviews, but these should be avoided. The glasses are cheap in construction, quality, and have thin glass.
