Product Description

Size: Set of 16

Amazon.com

The best route from point A to point B isn't always a straight line. This set of 16 Swerve glasses proves it with zany shapes that pay no heed to conventional form but are sure to bring appreciative smiles. Featuring curved sides that swing dramatically to one side, they strike animated poses as if ready to break into a dance or happy wiggle. Yet with a stable base and level rim, they are also remarkably balanced and easy to handle.

Perfect for a bar or not-so-serious table décor, the set includes eight tall tumbler glasses that stand 6-1/4 inches high and eight short old-fashioned glasses that stand 4 inches high. The set is dishwasher-safe and made in the U.S. A well-loved American brand since 1818, Libbey offers a wide selection of sturdy glassware products for all occasions. --Kara Karll

These are very well made and sturdy feeling.

The glasses all have very distinct, unsightly seams on opposite sides, where two halves were apparently joined in the manufacturing process.

I bought these glasses for a party - they were fun and everyone loved them.

I ordered these glasses to have extra for a party. Fun shape drew compliments. I now shuffled them in to use as my everyday glasses (all matching!), but I do have concerns with cleaning the larger glass. With no dishwasher, I handwash everything and I find it hard to reach down into the recesses at the base of the tall curved glass. The smaller one is fine--my hand reaches.

When I bought these, it was more or less impulse justified by good reviews. The glasses definitely draw attention, and I've never had one break (despite me being quite clumsy with them). However, they're very impractical. I curse at them whenever I have to wash them. They don't fit into anything well: cupholders, dishwashers, shelves, anything. Although their design is unusual and aesthetically appealing, I've never really liked them when drinking from them. I much prefer drinking from my Mom's set of Mexican glasses or even plain glass jars. These might be fun if you have other 'regular' glasses, but I really wouldn't recommend them if they're going to be your only set.

Sturdy design and a nifty looking shape. It was a really good deal for such a low price.

Hi... I purchased a set of these glasses, and they arrived quickly, but broken. After using amazon.com's return procedure, the vendor notified me that they would send me another set, no charge. I got the second set, all intact, just as fast. I got exactly what I wanted, and I'm glad to give the vendor a really good review. Thanks!

These glasses are great. They feel heavy and do not feel flimsy and cheap. In response to others' comments:
- I agree these glasses may not be for you if you don't have a dishwasher. Handwashing may be tough.
- Someone mentioned there is a line going down the glass, I see what they are talking about but it is very subtle and does not bother me at all.

The glasses all have very distinct, unsightly seams on opposite sides, where two halves were apparently joined in the manufacturing process. The thickness of the base varies from one side of the glass to the other, and on some glasses is very thin.

The assymetrical profile of the glasses, which is striking and clever in the photos, is not so great after all, as the interesting shape gradually disappears as you rotate the glass 90 degrees. At that point you just see a slightly odd glass with ugly seams.

There are so many interesting examples of glassware out there these days, I would not bother with this cheaply executed concept from Libby.

We were married in August of 2009 and these have been by far my favorite wedding gift.

I put them on our registry because they look so cool, but the angle of the glasses actually makes a real difference when you drink. They pour the water towards your mouth, making you need less of an angle to tilt the glass as your drink gets to the bottom.

I do take a little bit of extra care when washing them, simply because I don't want to take the chance of breaking them. I use a dishwasher, but make sure that they are wedged in well and that nothing that isn't plastic will touch them even if they shift a bit.
We use them on a daily basis and have had no problems.

Yes, these glasses have a very cool design, but the quality is not very good. Most of them have a distinct line from top to bottom and some of the lips aren't even. I tried contacting Libbey by email and phone to see if they could help, but no one was home. So back to Amazon they go.
