Pros: Wonderful Freezer Effect

High quality -- you'd think they were expensive

This is a great Beer Mug Set. Excellent heft and shape. I keep them in my freezer, and they frost over when I take them out. Really -- a wonderful thin layer of actual ice covers the surface -- which is fabulous for a good pint of beer.

My friends have commented that I shouldn't have such good beer mugs since I'm a girl and not a football fan :) (though I can do my share of chugging). In any case, these mugs get mass approval from all my guests at parties. They have no idea how inexpensive they actually are. I'm buying multiple sets as gifts this holiday season -- not just because they're inexpensive, but because they really are the perfect beer mugs.

Really, you don't need to look any further. These are the mugs to get.

I just leave these in the freezer and pull them out for a cold beer. There's nothing fancy about them, but they are solid and have good weight to them. For the price, they're perfect!

The very thick glass used for these mugs makes them perfect for freezing. Fabulous quality, and shipped in perfect condition. They made a great gift.

I ordered 3 sets (12 glasses) of these for Christmas, and none of them arrived broken or otherwise damaged. They are very thick mugs and great for frosting. For the price, you can't beat them.

I bought a set of these mugs three years ago, and they are still my go-to mug for beer. All that time in use and going through the dishwasher, and they haven't broken, chipped, or changed in any way. They still look brand new.

Thick glass, and large enough to comfortably hold a full bottle of beer with foam. If I have a little time, I rinse one off in the sink without drying it, and pop it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. When I pull it out, the water on the outside surfaces has frozen, and the glass is cold. Add beer and the results are fantastic.

I was looking to buy some decent beer mugs and came across the Libbey mugs on the internet. While shopping, I found these same mugs at my local Kohls store, so I purchased them. They are good heavy mugs that give you a good frosted brew. However they are smaller than what I expected. They are actually 6 inches tall by 3 1/8 inch outer diameter rather than the dimensions posted on the net, even though they are the same mugs, item number 5020.
It would be nice if they were a bit larger, but they are still good solid beer mugs. I would recommend them. Bottoms up.

These arrived Russian Doll style: I received a huge box, inside was a smaller box, and inside that was an even smaller box. And inside THAT... were these brilliant classic beer mugs. They are heavy, sturdy, great for the freezer (they frost nicely). They are dishwasher hogs, i.e. they take up LOTS of room, so I suggest hand-rinsing and towel-drying. With free shipping the price was very good for the value!

These mugs are great. I bought them as a gift for my boyfriend for the holidays, and he loves them. He puts them in the freezer and keeps making me try his beer, to show me how much better it tastes in theze frozen mugs. Only thing is the lip on the bottom holds water when we put them through the dishwasher. But so what.

As many other reviewers have said, these are nice solid mugs that are almost perfect. The two problems are: 1) Large recesses on the bottom that catch about three tablespoons of water when run through the dishwasher and, 2) A molding seam that runs around the mug and even down the inside of the handle. The seam is large and sharp enough to be painful when holding the mug for an extended time. I'll probably find some way to take the edge off the seam on the inside of the handle, but that shouldn't be necessary, it should have been taken care of by the manufacturer.

If you want a frozen beer mug for the freezer look no further. These thick glass mugs are perfect in every aspect. The mug holds a 12 oz beer with room for a head. My beer snob friends prefer a pilsner glass. They think a frozen mug and cold temperatures don't allow the taste of the beer to open up. I'll be a hillbilly and enjoy my beer cold thank you.

The mugs are solid and will hold up to years of abuse. The only way my son found to break them was to fill them half way with water, freeze them, then pour in warm water....Don't ask. But at this price is was not a big deal.

Make sure you get enough of them for your friends, and to cycle them to the freezer for the next round of coldies.
