The Good:

+ Attractive glasses

+ Made in USA

+ Available at Dollar Tree, so you can easily replace all the ones you break. And you WILL break them. Tap the glass against another glass? Crack! Tap the glass against the kitchen faucet? Crack! Wash the glass in warm water, then stack it on another glass? Crack! Scowl at the glass, knowing it's going to betray you and crack? Crack!


The Bad:

- For having such a hefty base, these glasses are INCREDIBLY thin on top and on the sides, and seem to crack so easily. We bought this set for our first kitchen, and have already lost four. After we replaced two (thanks Dollar Tree), we decided we'd let the rest of this set meet its untimely end, then replace it with something sturdier.

- These glasses are really unevenly weighted. It makes them feel ungainly, in my opinion.

My husband and I received a set of 12 of the tall ones, in this same color. The minute I opened them I fell in love. There is something so unique and elegant about the smokey black color and clean style. We have black leather furniture so they go nicely with our decor. I am hoping to find matching plates. Theses glasses are sturdy and heavy without being too heavy and are a good size and very functional. I would highly recommend them.

These glasses are awesome. They look gorgeous and they're extremely high quality (the glass is fairly thick), so they are very durable and would be difficult to break. This set is a perfect and inexpensive way to stock your kitchen with excellent glasses that will last for a long time.

I own nothing but Libbey glass because it's really thick and extremely well made. I've NEVER,EVER EVER had one break and I have two children under the age of 5 using them as well. They don't break in the dishwasher or the sink and I've tapped them together several times, ranging anywhere from a light tap to literally dropping one on top of another in the sink. Not a ding, scratch, chip or crack in any of them.

These glasses are beautiful and they don't hold water spots at all. The black smokey color fade makes any drink look special, especially pink lemonade or orange juice.

Like the title says.. If you're having problems with a Libbey glass breaking, you must be seriously abusing it. Sometimes I can't believe the beating that these glasses can take.

These are very nice-looking and arrived intact, however they are very bottom-heavy. Putting them in a drainer upside down without them being being anchored in there well has generally resulted in them falling over and breaking. I bought the set six months ago and at least half are broken. If you're naturally a klutz, I definitely don't recommend.

I got these about a year ago now. I've dropped them maybe 2-3 times while washing them in the sink and they didn't even crack. I must say they are as strong as hey are beautiful. They make every drink look elegant as well. I Love them.

I absolutely love these glasses. I've had them about a week and so far seem to be pretty sturdy. Haven't broken any, chipped any or even scratched them yet, and they get used a lot. They are gorgeous but they do seem to have a purple-ish tint.

We just bought our second set. Overall, we really like this product. It's great value, looks really nice and are good to use because of the heavy base.

I have owned a total of 3 sets of these glasses. I have 2 glasses left. They break super easy, and also become hazy due to small scratches.

They are pretty, and seem perfect at first, but you will slowly start losing glasses (we lost 1 about every 2 weeks). I mainly lost mine in the dishwasher, but still can't figure out why. I do not overcrowd my dishes, and can't see where anything could have hit them.

Don't waist your money, you can easily find cheaper glasses for the same quality.

Beautiful glasses and very heavy/sturdy too! They look way more expensive than they were. Couldn't be happier!
