Awesome Wedding Gift
on September 13, 2013
We received these as a wedding gift, and my husband loves them. Also for anyone who is interested, this is the text on the back of the box, I printed it out and taped it inside our kitchen cabinet for reference :)
The classic Pilsner glass features a narrow base to maintain carbonation. The tall, slender profile concentrates the light pilsner color while the tight rim captures the head and focuses the aroma.
Food Pairings: salty and spicy foods, seafood.
Use with pilsner and other light-colored lagers.
The English pub glass features a slight bulge at the top which works as a grip and also makes the glass stackable- an important space-saving feature in a tight-quartered pub.
The 20 oz. capacity also holds a "true pint" of liquid while allowing room at the top for a crowning head.
Use with darker colored lagers and ales.
The Belgian Ale glass features a long stem to keep the hand away from the brew, helping to maintain a cold temperature. The narrow top traps the head, creating a visual and olfactory sensation.
Food Pairings: grilled and rich meats, strong cheeses and mild fish.
Use with Belgian-style and other light-colored ales.
The Craft Pub glass features a slight taper near the top to concentrate the head and funnel the aroma.
This versatile glass is not a "specialist" but rather an essential component to any well-stocked bar and will improve the appearance and experience of any beer.
The Porter/Stout glass features a stem to elevate the beer and accentuate the dark, rich color of the roasted barley.
Food Pairings: barbeque, chocolate, shellfish.
Use with Porters, Stouts, and other dark beers.
The Wheat Beer glass features a narrow center and bulbous top to first prevent the brew from going pre-maturely flat and then to allow room for the thick, yeasty head to grow.
Food Pairings: citric or spicy foods, salads and brunch foods.
Use with wheat beers and other light-colored ales.
