I just purchased these glasses and really love them. They are surprisingly elegant in their simplicity. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they are very light. I bought an additional set of 4 because I am worried they will break easily. Also, check out the stemless champagne glasses from the same maker. FABULOUS!!

Excellent quality, fashionable to, we love the ones we have. Best part is they are not like stem glasses that we break all the time around our house.

Sorry to all the wine snobs out there, but these glasses are wonderful and wines taste as good in them as if they were served in the outrageously expensive Reidels! Methinks the emperor is indeed naked!

Great price and product. Bought them for my parents on Christmas and they get a lot of use, we're big wine drinkers. Bought the red wine glasses as well. Inexpenseive and great quality, no glass etching in 5 months, we run them through the dishwasher.

I love these glasses. Not as tippy as stem-ware. Commodious barrel accommodates the nose. Holds plenty wine, even at half full. Moderately priced, so if you break one, it's not the end of the world. I use them for everything now, including water.

These glasses are fabulous!! They are very elegant, and much more conducive to my lifestyle than stemmed wine glasses!!

I am not sure what other poster said, these are glass, not plastic!!

I was hesitant to purchase as I had read one review here that stated that the glasses were made of plastic and melted in the dishwasher! I went to MFG website to determine that these are indeed made of glass.
These turned out to be exactly as described, and the same glasses we had previously received as gifts. Very durable, dishwasher safe, not easily turned over. Very good everday use. Am giving as a gift myself.

These wine glasses are beautiful--the lack of a stem is simplistic and elegant at once. Although these may have been meant for white wine, I use these for serving either white or red wine; nobody complains!

They are a bit light; I wouldn't put them in the dishwasher just to be on the safe side. I wash and dry them myself instead of using the dishwasher for these. However, this is not meant to scare you away--make no mistake about it; these are beautiful wine glasses that are worth the little bit of extra time and trouble to hand wash and dry them.

Get these and enjoy your wine even more!

I have never liked regular, stemmed wine glasses so I was very happy to find out these are the "new" wine glasses. They do hold quite a bit of wine so I only fill them part way. They are easy to hold on to, and don't tip over easily.

After realizing how much more these glasses hold than stemware, I serve either red or white wine in the white wine glasses. Being an uncouth wine drinker, and know there are others out there like me, I have to warn ya that if you serve frig-cold wine in these glasses on a hot day, you'll wish for the stem. The condensation makes the glasses slippery, and washing them by hand makes them super slippery. While washing them, one jumped out of my hand like a live fish! It landed safely on the hardwood floor though. That's something a stemmed glass could never achieve after a leap 1/4 that height.
Given my choice, I'd rather drink wine out of a stemmed glass -- if I'm somewhere other than home where as a guest my small glass is kept filled by the host, and where someone else sweeps up the glasses they break.
