The Libec ZC-3DV Zoom Control allows to use both LANC and Panasonic Mini DV cameras simply change the switch equipped. Zoom speed is variable from slowest to fastest by thumb manuplating at very sensitive touch. The further you rotate the zoom controller, the faster zoom speed. ZC-3DV can just clamp not only tripod pan handle but also monopod, stabilizer and other similar devices for versatile usage.

It may be cheap, but for its price, it does a darn good job. Only zoom and record controls, but the variable speed-zoom is sensitive enough. I like that the cable can plug into both the left side and the top-- it allows for more mounting options.
The only problem I've had thus far was that the cable went bad, but I replaced it for fairly cheap with a Manfrotto 522SCA Spare Standard Control Cable for 521, 522 and 523 Remote Controllers.

I've found myself doing more event work, lately. As such, I've had to spend hours with my arm at an odd angle, poised over my camera's zoom rocker. No more!
I used this on my last event and would never do something like that without one of these again. It's very well made and works extremely well with my DVX100A.
