Book Description

Adventures of Liberal Man April 15, 2000
STEP ASIDE SUPERHEROS! - No one is more politically correct! No one has the power of his compassion. No one's heart bleeds more profusely.

It's Liberal Man. Faster than the average white, European male. More powerful than a tax-package locomotive in a Democrat controlled Congress. Able to leap tall buildings when requested by whiny special interest groups. His motto -- "I fight truth and justice everywhere for the Democrat way."

LIBERAL MAN is the ultimate spoof on liberalism. The book contains "best of" stories from the nationally acclaimed 10-episode comic series with a brand new mission in which Liberal Man is launched towards his death to save the President's legacy.

Includes 8 full color pin-up pages.

About the Author

Marcus P. Meleton Jr. has been writing satire for fifteen years, starting with his first book, Nice Guys Don't Get Laid, in which his objective was to teach men to become the Marlon Brando/James Dean disaster women crave. Marcus is also the author of HUNTING FOR LAWYERS, an environmental book proposing a hunting season for lawyers to resolve the overpopulation crisis, and the hit comic series PETE THE P.O.'D POSTAL WORKER.

Outside of writing, he is an engineer and mediocre surfer with a degree in computer science and an MBA.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Scream!, October 4, 2001

Matt Dedinas (Panama City, Florida United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Liberal Man : Final Mission (Adventures of Liberal Man) (Paperback)
I just got my copy of Liberal Man! This is an excellent satire of the Left because it is based in truth. James Carville has always dreamed of being a superhero, I'm sure. Now he gets his wish!
Join Liberal Man and all his pals in their best adventures from 1994 to 1999. Explore how the world's first Liberal superhero combated the new Republican Congress in early 1995. Read a Bill Clinton Christmas Carol. Check out Liberal Man's adventures in Sudan and Kosovo. A+ for Marcus Meleton and Pete Garcia.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wickedly Delightful Satire of the Liberal Left, January 9, 2010
This review is from: Liberal Man : Final Mission (Adventures of Liberal Man) (Paperback)
The Clinton Administration provided a lot of fodder for Political Satire, and Political Comics coming from a republican viewpoint just skewered the Liberal Left in a bitingly funny 10 run series of comics. Regardless of your politics, this is probably one of those comic books you will not admit to owning, but will find fall down funny laughing 10 years after the Clinton Administration (when I wrote this). At the time it was serious satire, today you can see the roots of the republican right deeply embedded in this comic book. For nothing else, this book is well worth picking up and reading.

From a Clinton Carol to the Last of the Boy Scouts, everything the Clinton administration was trying to do while presiding over one of the biggest financial booms of our time (The Dot Com Boom) the book Liberal Man took an opposing viewpoint of everything the administration tried to do. Including then the attempt at health care reform. In all this is a book (and if you can find the comic books something to keep) that you want to read, regardless of politics, it is sure to offend, delight, and enthrall people. I just needed to stop laughing long enough to write this review.

Rated 5 of 5 stars for many reasons this is something you want to read and hold onto.
