A rare combination: deep, insightful and pleasant to read,
By Andrei Gemeneanu (London) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Liberating Passion: How the World's Best Global Leaders Produce Winning Results (Paperback)
It often happens to all of us (it certainly does to me!) to take a Leadership book in our hands with huge curiosity, start reading it, but then realise by page 10 that we are never going to finish it. Certainly not the case with Omar Khan's "Liberating Passion"!
The book is a rare combination of deep and insightful views into what gets people going, how leaders can unleash their troops, but all written in Omar's uniquely candid and pleasant style. His theory that by nature people are passionate, and that sometimes companies sadly enough find ways to kill that passion, is hugely fresh and should make us reflect. We often read that Leadership books are a must-read for business leaders, CEOs etc. This is indeed a must-read for them, but it is also a must-read for members of the HR community, who often commit some of the "sins" described in the book.

Liberating Passion is a good book to read to learn why you and everyone you work with feel as if the job has sucked the life out of you--it has. This book shows how to get that life back. Learn how to approach th ejob again with the joy and passion we all had as kids.

Refreshingly Real and Practical ! A MUST read for every leader,
This review is from: Liberating Passion: How the World's Best Global Leaders Produce Winning Results (Paperback)
I found liberating passion By Omar Khan with Paul Brown, refreshing, REAL, and people friendly!.What was distinct about this particular book on leadership for me was the tools, insights and tips which are simple yet profound and downright workable, and has helped me not only in my corporate life, but also in my personal life as to how passion can be enthused. As a management consultant myself, I have seen many companies being stifled and stuck because of poor leadership skills and unhealthy organizational cultures that kill its people's passion instead of liberating it. If people are considered as your most valuable organizational asset, and you want more out of life and your people, then this book is an absolute MUST read. I recommend this book to every leader and aspiring leader wholeheartedly. Melanie De Jong
