2.0 out of 5 stars Okay I guess, but not really as advertised, May 31, 2007
This review is from: Liberating Planet Earth: An Introduction to Biblical Blueprints (Paperback)
This is probably Gary's worst book. The writing quality and style is abysmal (never have so many 'to be' verbs been such friends with such incessant two-word sentences and needless relative clauses: good night, man! Do some editing!); the self-reference gets old really quickly; and the structure...ahem...doesn't...exist.

The most egregious of North's failures (in my opinion) has to be the...absence...of liberation theology from the book. He refers to it a lot, and it's hard not laugh when he tells his reader, "This book is about liberation theology," on page *67* (thanks for telling us, Gary!). I mean come on...it's almost as if he has to convince his reader: "No, really! It really is about liberation theology even though I haven't mentioned it in three chapters!"

He quotes *one* Marxist theologian the whole book if my memory serves me correctly (and that only a few times), and his bibliography contains no liberation theology works. It's almost as if the book was written in two sittings and rushed off to the press because the other books in the series (like DeMar's much better _Ruler of the Nations_) had to have an introduction.

That being said, the book still contains _a lot_ of helpful points and necessary arguments, but all of them can be found in his better books. If you're determined to just read the whole set of blueprints, then go ahead and read it (it's also very short). Other than that, stick with his better books: _The Dominion Covenant_ (which suffers from some similar problems), _Moses and Pharaoh_ (which contains pretty much all the good stuff from this one), and _The Sinai Strategy_. There's nothing new here.

1.0 out of 5 stars LSD induced writing experience, March 13, 2006
This review is from: Liberating Planet Earth: An Introduction to Biblical Blueprints (Paperback)
The writer was obviously on an LSD induced writing experience. The devil dit it lets blame the devil. This book does nothing but serve as fuel for the futile arguments of young earthers, creationists and flat earthers alike. I'd give it 0 if i could.
