Liberating Prayer challenges your very motive in prayer. It helps you see that prayer is not a ritual or an add-on to your devotional life but a time to deepen your relationship with God by taking time to be still and listen for what He has to say to you. Dr. Anderson also provides foundational, Scriptural principles for your prayer life, helping you learn to pray in the power of the Holy Spirit. This timely book also helps you realize that God truly is God and that He is always with us, even in the dark and lonely times of life.

Neil Anderson's books are a lifeline for any Christian who is struggling with any kind of bondage, because the bottom line message is the TRUTH about WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST. Knowing that we are so deeply, perfectly loved by God, that He preordained Christ's suffering, death, (He who knew no sin, took on all of humanity's sins, became our sin, and settled the score once & for all of eternity), that through his shed blood & resurrection, He conquered death, and FREELY gave us power to become the adopted sons (daughters) of God. Perfect loves casts out fear. We confess our sins and come into the light of truth, knowing there is no condemnation in Christ. Neil clearly reveals Satan's ploys to accuse us,deceive & intimidate us w/ lies, to discourage or distract us from the victory & the freedom Christ has already provided for each of us. This book helps us to pray in FAITH, standing on the WORD, knowing in our hearts that our gift of salvation, & our victory over sin are secure in CHRIST. Satan has no power over us that we don't give him. He is already defeated & flees when Truth is spoken. How liberating & practical Neil's books are!

This writing did what the title said it would do. Each page gave me a freedom in God's word and confirmation that my soul truly needs at this time in my life. It let me know the choices I have made to serve God with my life has not been without persecution and suffering, none like being hung on a tree, however; I have been in some lonely territory since my choice to exchange one life for a life with God's will at the helm and there is a way you MUST go alone to be made new. LIBERATING PRAYER helped me a great deal to focus my thoughts and my heart on God and elevate my prayer life. I am so glad the author gave scripture and shared examples of things he experienced to illustrate what a life with Christ looked like for him and his family, the good and the uncomfortable times. I needed this illumination at this time in my life. I recommend anyone who is looking for clear scriptural help in the area of prayer to keep this book close, but their bible closer.
