This review is from: Liberation: The Unofficial and Unauthorised Guide to Blake's 7 (Paperback)
The Unofficial And Unauthorised Guide to Blake's 7 four seasons are very detailed, very complete, but should not be read unless you either have already seen the show or don't plan to see the show. The book breaks down each episode, getting into character development, linking stories together, explaining the plots and many themes of the show. With such great creative writers and artists as Terry Nation, Paul Darrow, Chris Boucher, David Maloney, Tanith Lee, and Dudley Simpson working hard on the show it is hard to say anything bad about the stories - but there are some flaws that the book brings up. But there is also merits. Sadly, I have only seen parts of the show, on and off, on PBS and other channels, and there are no DVDs available for my Region. So there only way for me to explore the series, at this time, was to get this book.A must for anybody who is a fan of the show, or a fan of British sci-fi in general. |
