5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent personal account from someone who was there!, August 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Liberator Pilot : The Cottontails' Battle for Oil (Paperback)
This is a very important book for all of America to read. It details the sacrifices made by the young bomber crews in the skies over europe that eventually led to the fall of Nazi Germany. My father (who has 51 combat missions with the Cottontails to his credit) has also read this book and hails it as a great success because it's about a subject few books have been written about. Namely, the B-24 Aircrews.

5.0 out of 5 stars A much needed resource for generations to follow, August 23, 1998

This book I couldn't put down! This book clearly illustrates the sacrifices made by the young bomber crews who eventually bombed Nazi Germany into submission. Written by someone who was actually there! I highly recommend this book to future generations so they may learn about what their fathers/grandfathers experienced in this War.

1.0 out of 5 stars I knew Fagan, June 16, 1998

This book is one of the worst books on the 450th Bomb Group ever written. I sent a copy of this book to my son with 3x5 cards inserted at every lie told in this book and suggested he not quote from this book. With all due respect to Vince, he was indeed a warrior, but lets face it there are so many things there that is just not the truth. I was there, flying right along side, and was on the mission to Innsbruck the day Fagan got hit. It was on Xmas day in 1944. The light shed here is not worth the candle.
