The set was given to me as a gift this year, and after having been stolen with my car, it is the only CD that I'm replacing right now. The music fits all moods, and is so intricately composed. Besides the composition, any live recording of Piazzolla is something to be prized. A couple of tracks include a little bit of his spoken word at the beginning or end of a piece, and it gives listeners a profound feeling to hear his voice (really, it does).

Perhaps the most interested work of Astor Piazzolla in this CD is Libertango. There are many other work named Meditando, Violentando that was presented in Paris a long time ago. You will also find to much pleasure listening Las cuatro estaciones portenias. I think this CD in interesting for a new listener of Astor Piazzola. |
