Just reinstalled the driver's side speaker on my 2005 Jeep Liberty (with 6.5" Infinity speakers) and it sounds like new. This kit works as advertised. It does not require cutting the dust cap off the center of the speaker, as shown on the most popular Youtube video, so it's even easier to use than the kit in the video.

One word of caution when diagnosing your Jeep sound issues. Mine rumbled from the door speaker, but it also sounded like the driver's side dash speaker was shot. I made the mistake of pulling the dash speaker before doing anything else, only to find that it was fine. Apparently, a bad door speaker shakes, rattles and rolls the dash enough to mislead those of us whose hearing isn't what it used to be. Start with the door speaker if it is clearly rattling.

Should you need dash speakers, Power Bass sells a 2.75" pair of tweeters that fit right in, with only a little wire splicing.

The factory Infinity door speakers in my '02 Durango had been buzzing mightily for the past several months. This kit allowed me to replace the torn foam rings in the OEM speakers with new ones. Much more cost effective than replacing the speakers themselves. They sound like new! Highly recommended!

I suggest buying two kits and doing all four doors at once. I bought one kit and did just the front door speakers, only to find that I could then hear the rear ones buzzing.

The kit includes an abundance of specialized glue to attach the new foam and to reattach any original gaskets. The glue has the consistency and stickiness of plastic model cement, so you might consider working with disposable gloves. You will need an Xacto or other small precision knife to cut the old foam rings away from the speaker's paper core. The instructions say to dissolve the old glue with rubbing alcohol or lacquer thinner. Alcohol did not work at all. I might try mineral spirits when I do the rear speakers.

I purchased 2 sets for my front and back speakers and repair was very easy when using the You Tube instructional video. The speakers perform like new again. Great product.

A remarkably easy and inexpensive repair that may potentially save hundreds! Removing and re-installing the door panel was much easier than I expected. The speaker repair itself was a breeze as well. No special tools required, just a screwdriver and an exacto knife! 60-90 minute investment well worth the time!
