An outstanding product but missing numerous small parts. This thing is serious heavy duty and you won't find anything like it at Lowes or Home Depot. Big Balloon tires lets you push it anywhere. It will in fact store at least 300 feet of hose. I have a hundred foot pro grade on it and doesn't even dent its obvious capacity. NO PLASTIC HERE--reinforce all threaded conections with one wrap of plumber's thread tape. A little seapage on mine but no big deal.

I'm assuming the product was already assembled and then disassemble for shipment to me. The screws, nuts, washers, etc. were loose in the container which was holed during shipment. Some of these small parts probably fell out. Luckily I keep leftover parts from everything and had what I needed to complete assembly without contacting the seller.

Still five stars for obvious quality.

This is the worst product I have ever bought through Amazon. Difficult to assemble, insufficient hardware, wheel axle not stable in frame brackets, axle too long causing slop in the wheels and instability, handle not stable onto main frame, had to redrill holes for handle to connect to main frame, had to call company to get more hardware and new handle. Replacement parts sent were still wrong. I haven't even put a hose on this yet, but I have little faith in it not leaking. For $150, you would think this would be a better product. I highly recommend you DO NOT buy this product. Anything has to be better than this!

I just received my hose reel today and put it together. There was one missing screw, but I was able to scrounge one up and get it together. This hose reel is a wonderful piece of equipment. It holds every bit of 350' of hose with no problem and is easy to move around. If you have a lot of hose to store, this is the one you need!

For what I paid for this you would think it would be better
quality. Ohh well. Had it for just a few months now and already
had to replace some parts that leaked very heavy. The good thing
was I sent an e-mail to Liberty Products and they sent out replacement
parts the next day. Up and running three days later. But it does what it
is suppose to but I can see myself tossing this out within a year or so.

I purchased this hose reel cart to replace a similar one that we've had for about 10 years. The other one still functioned but the paint had peeled over the years and my husband wanted a new cart to go with the new deck. As the other reviewers have said, various small parts were missing; I was able to scrounge around and come up with replacement parts from our own supply of washers and nuts. These small parts - bolts, washers, nuts - are not shipped together in a parts bag, but come higgledy-piggledy, some being halfway in a hole, some at the bottom of the box, some in the bags that the various large pieces are wrapped in. Apart from the hardware isuue, the directions that came with the cart were hands-down the worst directions I have ever seen for assembling something, and this includes the wordless directions from IKEA. The black-and-white photographs that accompanied the steps were of no help whatsoever and the worded directions accounted for parts that were not identified on the parts page. Fortunately I had my old hose cart (different manufacturer) to use as a guide. Once the cart was assembled, it worked great.

I gave up looking at the garden and home depots for a reel big enough to handle over 300 feet.

Unit arrived and the box looked a bit beat up but ok. Did find that I needed to go buy two bolts that were supplied 1/2" too short. Only 80 cents, so no problem there. Also had to drill two holes... the welded in cross bar to hold the bearing on the water source end was drilled wrong. Its spacing matched the crank bearing end spacing which is about 2 inches narrower. It should have been spaced wider. Simple to center the bearing saddle, mark it and drill two 1/4" holes and finish the assembly... Willing to bet I will be able to use this one hard and then will it to my son in 30-40 years...it is indeed stoutly made and all the fittings are well machined heavy brass. Highly recommended.

I agree with other reviewers that the cart is well built and that it would benefit from a hose guide. I also found that the carton had some holes it in where the sharper parts had broken through. Some of the small hardware probably fell out through the holes. I was able to cobble together some bolts and nuts around the house to temporarily complete the set up and called the company who sent me a package of bolts and nuts. I still found that the carriage bolt head didn't fit well into the holes. They were too loose and didn't tighten well. So I left my old bolts in those places. Over all, though, I expect many more years of service from this hose cart than the crappy plastic one it replaces. We have a large yard, raise pigs and sheep and need long lengths of hose to get to their water tanks. At the end of the season, it will travel easily to the shed where it is stored for the winter.

I think the situation would be improved with a more sturdy carton and better bolts. The folks in the home office should set them up periodically so the reviews could truly reflect the quality of the product.

Great promise, good price, less than stellar results. Missing bolts and nuts - not all of them, just most of them. Box was torn and maybe that's where the hardware went. Not to be deterred, just scrounged my own replacement parts. Doesn't look too good but I made it work. Hope it lasts!
