it is very high quality and the nickel finish is very nice. i like the shape of it, too - it holds things very securely.
as to size, it sticks out about 1 3/8" from the wall and the hook itself sticks up about 1". the whole height of the thing, includign the part where the screws go in is 1 3/4".
I wanted to buy a new belt holder, as the "hanger" type one I'd been using was the cause of an irritating start to most days, as any belt that wasn't the last one on the hook (none in front of it), I'd inevitably knock down several belts into the abyss that is the side of the closet. I started searching on here to buy one, but all of the ones that I've seen for sale have the hooks so close together that each belt would actually require two hooks...or the space of two hooks, anyway. So I set out to build one. These hooks are perfect for that task, and nice looking, too. I wasn't sure what I'd mount them to, but ended up using one of the leftover cedar pickets from a fence project that I just did, which was just perfect! I did have to use my high speed grinder to grind down the screws on the back side of the board as the screws were too long for the wood. I had read other reviews where people complained about the strength of the supplied screws, so I didn't go crazy over-torquing them. After all, the hooks are holding belts up, not slabs of beef. :) Overall, I'm happy with the hooks and how my little project turned out. I posted images of my simple project as soon as I figure out how to, again....I don't do many reviews here.
The tip of the hook, the ball end, measures about 6.11 mm, and the curve of the hook or the mid point is about 8.60mm thick.
I thought I may have had it at the wrong angle, used too much force, whatever. I tried the other screw on the same hook: the screw head also broke!
Fine, let's make bigger pilot holes on the next hook, so I need to use less force on the screw... Nah, screw head #3 also broke! Mind you, all this is with a manually held screw driver, not a power tool. And I'm by no means "strong".
These are cute enough hooks that I'll make a trip to the hardware store for better screws. But that defeats the purpose of buying them on Amazon...
