Library Juice Concentrate,
By HMM (A2, MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Library Juice Concentrate (Paperback)
If you liked Revolting Librarians Redux, you'll find Library Juice Concentrate just as engaging. It's a left-leaning look at library philosophy at the turn of the 21st century. Rory Litwin presents a number of interesting topics, all carefully considered. The idea that libraries are closely tied to societal and democratic values is paramount. Recent technological shifts and "Library 2.0" attitudes are closely examined with a keen eye towards the politics of privacy and the necessity of preserving the traditional values of librarianship.
