Good, Melodic Hip-Hop,
By A Customer
This review is from: Library Nation (Audio CD)
I picked up a promo copy of the Evil Tambourines CD in a used record store and was surprised by how solid the album is. For fans of melodic hip-hop with lots of sounds and horns going on, this album is for you (especially if you like acts like the Boogiemonsters or Dream Warriors). The best tracks are "Pathways" and "Saturn". This is a very underrated album from an up-and-coming alternative rap group.

Infectiously Catchy,

First a blanket: I despise hip-hop. This transcends my hate with its charming grooviness. (Often times the music sounds very 70's, and in a surprisingly good way) Simultaneously intelligent and moroncially poppy (yet distinctly SubPop), these guys deserve more than just notoriety. What an unfortunate name.
