I couldn't find a head to head comparison anywhere. Since the Zipp came out in October 2012 any comparisons were with the original SoundLink or SoundLink II, so for others wishing to compare, hear (sic) goes!

Sound Quality: No contest, on balance. The Zipp is much more dynamic and detailed. Dramatically so. The ribbon tweeters really deliver. As does the bass driver. By comparison the Bose sounds flat and lifeless. Relatively speaking. The differences range from extreme: Keb Mo's Keep It Simple: One Friend - a beautiful modern recording with amazingly detailed highs and firm bass, beautifully reproduced by the Zipp, dull in the Bose, to opera: La Traviata (Boynage/Decca): where the Bose sounds quite musical and pretty much holds its own overall, smoothing out some of digital edge of this fairly early digital recording. Most of the other music I listened to fell in between.

Product quality: The Zipp is really funky. Designed in Denmark, made in Hungary. Really beautifully packaged. The gray wool cover looks great, the magenta too. The yellow cover looked like it has spent a year in very close proximity to a much darker cover. The unit is surprisingly large and heavy: about 10" high, 4.75" diameter. The Bose is slightly smaller and lighter and more practical to travel with since it is rectangular and slim. It has a much more polished product execution, including the optional leather cover. But the Zipp is fun in a very Scandinavian way!

Other differences: the Zipp is designed primarily for Apple products: AirPlay, and one can download an iOS App that includes different sound profiles. (It is also compatible with dlna protocol for connecting to Windows 7, 8 and Android devices but it is very much targeted at Apple users.

Excellent built quality and the wool covers feel great. This speaker has a nice warm sound, with very good bass for its size. It's plenty loud to fill a room, but I haven't used it outside yet. It also really does seem omnidirectional. You can slowly rotate the speaker (or you could walk 360 degree around it) and the sound pretty much stays the same. One star off for the iPhone app you can (but don't HAVE to) use with it. It's clunky and doesn't really provide much added functionality. It has some DSP pre-sets but they don't really improve the sound over the 'natural' default preset. Overall though I'm very happy with this speaker!

Amazing sound. Really top notch quality. The built is great too. Seems very durable and well made. Love the design. Really easy and flawless connection to all of the wireless devices. Work really good even at 60-70 ft. I tried a lot of these little portable speakers - from inexpensive ones to Bowers and Wilkins. The main issue with most of them is that the speakers are usually tiny and cheap, amp used in the devices aren't the greatest, so you usually end up with either loud, but very distorted sound (poor quality) or decent sound, but the volume is very low. The Libratone is very balanced in that sense - good amp, powerful enough to drive the speakers, which in turn are very decent. Therefore you have a nice product that I would recommend to anyone.
