Great for keeping time and adding decoration! The clock itself runs on one AA battery while the neon light runs of a transformer that has to be plugged into a 120v outlet. It has a switch for the neon light so that it's not always on, but when it is on it can light up a dark room pretty well. Keeps great time too!
