The Licensing Exam Review Guide in Nursing Home Administration: Fifth Edition

I passed the test yesterday, this book along with James Allen's "Nursing Home Administration" were my two primary study guides.

One note is that I had the fourth edition and I got the 5th to make sure I had the latest. I could not find any difference the questions were the same in the same order. Same goes for the text, I used the 4th edition and it had the same info. The main thing is that the test doesn't ask too much about current trends, like the study guide. For example the study guide asks things about whether the industry grew from 1996 to 2000. There was no questions like that on the actual test.

You should really know what members are in the Quality assurance team.

This study guide is directly associated with James Allen's textbook. It is not as useful as a study guide for the NAB Nursing Home Administrator's Exam because the questions don't really represent the exam questions. If you own the text and want additional practice questions then this book will work for you. If you want practice exam questions or exam prep material, keep looking.

I have been looking for books that can me prepare for the Nursing Home Administrator's Exam and this one is great. I really believe I will fell comfortable about taking the exam when the time comes.

This book of questions and answers follows James Allen's book. Read the thoughts associated with the question. Don't just memorize the answers in short term memory!!Get the logic into long term memory,too. Who knows, after you get it all working for about 10 years, then you can write the abridged edition to Allen's book:)
