About the Author
Robert Heidbreder is an award-winning children's poet and author. His many books include I Wished for a Unicorn, Eenie Meenie Manitoba and Drumheller Dinosaur Dance. Robert spent thirty years as a primary school teacher and, in 2002, won the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.

This book will be a hit with babies and young toddlers. It encourages silly noises from the adult reader, and is paired with fun action pictures. It doesn't have much of a plot, so is more fun for pre-readers who are just enjoying playing with language and sounds. Our 10-month old fell in love with it and carried it to us over and over again to read.

I bought this book after a raving review on a blog. Sorry, it just wasn't as good as promised. If there were a story or plot to go along with the sounds, this could have been a real winner. As is, it is just sounds and my 6 year old was bored to tears.
