Editorial Reviews

Travel to Palermo, Sicily with Lidia and discover the most delicious way to enjoy Calamari-Manfredi style. Manfredi is a dear friend and olive oil producer from Palermo and has a very simple dish featuring calamari. Following that, she visits with another friend who has a spectacular seaside home and prepares a simple pesto "Trapanese style".

I purchased this DVD because I really enjoyed this episode of Lidia's Italy. She goes to Palermo and mentions the different cultural influences on Sicily. Scenes are shown of Palermo and she then visits Palermo's Vucciria market. Great scenes of Sicily and Sicilians. She also shows you how to make calamari the way her friend, Manfreddi, who is from Palermo, makes it. I definitely recommend this DVD if you are a true Sicilophile or just want to learn a little bit about Sicilian culture.
