Rogue Cop Holds City at Ransom,
By Bonnie Brody "Book Lover and Knitter" (Port St. Lucie, FL) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 100 REVIEWER)
This review is from: Lieberman's Choice (Hardcover)
This is an adventure novel about a rogue cop who catches his wife in bed withher lover and kills them. He threatens to blow up the city if his demands are not met. There is good dialogue and the book is intelligently written. The character of Abe Lieberman, Jewish cop, is very real and empathetically drawn.

This review is from: Lieberman's Choice (Hardcover)
This is the first sequel in the Lieberman series by Kaminsky. He is working on four of them at this time. If you keep in mind that Kaminsky has been writing TV scripts since the sixties (he wrote for the "Man from U.N.C.L.E.") and currently writes for the CSI series, you'll recognize his style. There is little narrative and the dialogue is always crisp, and few if any extraneous characters. If you read real carefully, you can even guess where the commercial breaks would be.All this said, it's still an enjoyable series to read. It isn't terribly profound, nor are there any great surprises, everything goes pretty linear. But if you are looking for something fun to read, that doesn't ask for anything intellectually from you, except of course for your time, this is what your looking for. I am looking forward to the next episode, eh...installment.
