Product Description

Product Description

This Liebherr Articulated Road Loader L 574 by Bruder comes with Single rubber sculptured tires. An addition set of tires are available to make this into a double wheel front loader. (NOTE: THE PICTURE TO THE LEFT SHOWS HOW THIS TOY LOOKS AS THE SCOUP MOVES UP AND DOWN!) The Front Wheel Loader bends in the middle for a smaller turning radius. The back wheels have independent suspension on this Leibherr Articulated Front Wheel Loader. The Small handle lifts front loader up and down and locks it in place. The other handle releases it and drops it down. And the hood opens up.

From the Manufacturer

Steer clear of trouble! This tough construction vehicle has articulated steering, allowing it to make sharp turns and fit into small areas. The front loader can be raised or lowered with the attached handle, or locked into place when not in use. Other features include suspension for the rear wheels, a hood that opens to reveal the engine and tread tires.

My 2yr old loves playing with this loader at the beach, in the snow, in the yard, and even in the tub. Very sturdy and made of ABS so it is free of most of the nasy chemicals you will find in most chinese versions. This toy has been treated roughly but lovingly by my son and it looks as new as when we bought it over a year ago. The details are great and the functioning of the loader is easy for a toddler to manupilate. The bucket will hold a lot of rocks and sand and you can even fit a Playmobil or Lego guy in the cab. I love all of Bruder's toys.

I bought this toy almost two years ago for my nephews. It has been used and abused. It has spent its whole life outside in the weather, in a sand box, in the dirt, and mud. Its still going strong today. The detail and craftsman ship are what I thought was lost in toys of today but Bruder has proved someone can still make a good toy.

I am a collector of old Tonka and Nylint trucks from the 50's and 60's. When I go to the store and see the quality of toys today it makes me sad. After seeing Brueder toys I now have something that I am proud to buy my grandchildren.

I've been collecting Bruder toys for my son and this one is one of the better pieces.
It's sturdy and well built. I'm sure it will haul tons of material by the time he's done playing with it!

My grandson loves this toy. This toy is well constructed and should stand up to the rough play. It is expensive but worth it.

We got the Bruder Liebherr Loader L 574 for our 3 year-old this Christmas.

Pros:
* Rubber tires roll easily on thick carpet; won't harm floors.
* Looks real; articulated loader bucket easy to operate and locks into same positions as the real thing.
Cons:
* Not made from a heavy duty plastic; not entirely cheap but I can see it cracking fairly easily.
* Getting figures in and out of the cab is a challenge.

This might be better for older children who understand how to take care of a toy. We bought one of the figures ($11.50 USD at a local toy store) and getting him in and out of the cab is a challenge even for me let alone a child. Trying to position him into a sitting position resulted in his legs popping off time and time again. Further more, try as I might, and to my son's chagrin, I can't get him to actually hold onto the steering wheel. Bruder should really allow easier access to the inner cab. The real loaders DO have doors after all.

Amazon's price on the loader is quite good (we paid $60+ at our local, non-big box store). I'm still a fan of accurate/replica styled toys like these. It's just when I was smaller, companies like Corgi were making mini versions of Bond's Aston Martin out of METAL.

I'm giving Bruder toys a "buy" rating but with a few caveats.

My children have a few Bruder construction toys and they are all very well made. Although they are a little expensive they do last and take a great deal of abuse before they break. A small part on another toy broke and Bruder customer service was fantastic. They sent out the part at no cost and it was received quickly. You get what you pay for. The detail on the toys is also first rate. The toys will last a long time and can be used by other children (or grandchildren) when they get older.
