5.0 out of 5 stars Great companion with the book
The next best thing to having a pianist right there with you. Even if you play, it is not the best situation to play for yourself while rehearsing alone. And you can absolutely use these tracks for live performances.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very good accompaniments; fragile CD's
These accompaniments are very well done and very useful for practicing a variety of German art songs. I wish that I had transferred them to the hard drive of my computer as soon as I opened them, however, as the playing surface of one of them was taken off by coming into contact with the adhesive used to close the plastic CD pocket, and several tracks on another one...

These accompaniments are very well done and very useful for practicing a variety of German art songs. I wish that I had transferred them to the hard drive of my computer as soon as I opened them, however, as the playing surface of one of them was taken off by coming into contact with the adhesive used to close the plastic CD pocket, and several tracks on another one seems to have problems when I try to play it after several years of occasional use. I contacted Hal Leonard to ask about getting replacements for the CD's and they do not offer them (unless you buy them again).

Some of the books/Cd's in these kinds of collections include sheet music - this does not - make sure you know this before purchasing.

I love the Leader Anthology itself, and the accompaniments are very well done. So well done in fact that I often just put them on as great background music while I'm reading or something. I find them very soothing.
