This offering is a very bland affair. I was far more impressed with "Ahead Rings Out". There is a very disjointed feeling to this album, leaving the listener with the sense that it was just slapped together.Knowing what Mick Abrahams can be capable of I was disappointed. There are better albums out there. Unless your polishing off a collection, avoid "Lies".

I have never been a big fan of Blodwyn Pig, but I love this CD, especially "Latin Girl" and "The Night is Gone". A previous reviewer stated he felt the CD has a disjointed feel, and I felt exactly the opposite. More like it had different flavors that went well together. Like vanilla ice cream and hot fudge, or toast with jam. I enjoyed this disk a great deal.
