This review is from: Sex, Lies, and High School (Paperback)
I am about half way through this book. To be honest I am having a hard time staying focused while reading. It covers issues that to me are common knowledge. There are a few good points. It is easy to tell the book was written by to females. I am raising 3 teen boys & the book is giving more pointers about how girls should dress & act. There are some mentions about how boys respond to girls. But early in the book, there are several pages about how boys should respect girls when they are going through their teens. I believe we should all respect each other. I almost quit reading the book at that point, but am trying to stick with it. I work with a youth group at church & hope to gain some perspective from a teen girl's point of view. Because my boys are older teens & I have already lived a lot of what the book talks about may be why I feel it is more common knowledge. But all in all if you are raising teen daughters it is probably a good book for you. If you are raising boys, you may want to research another book.
