5.0 out of 5 stars At Peace about Death
I read this book after the death of my mother in 1990. She died after an excruciating fight with cancer that lasted 3 years. I was devastated. Having been raised and educated as a Catholic, I believed that after death - the soul went to Heaven or Hell according to how good or bad one was during life. My mother was a very good person during her life. However, I could...

5.0 out of 5 stars At Peace about Death, June 18, 2009

I read this book after the death of my mother in 1990. She died after an excruciating fight with cancer that lasted 3 years. I was devastated. Having been raised and educated as a Catholic, I believed that after death - the soul went to Heaven or Hell according to how good or bad one was during life. My mother was a very good person during her life. However, I could not find peace of mind that my mother was "in a better place". After reading "Life after Life", I now feel assured that death doesn't mean the end. Here on earth we are spiritual beings having a human experience. I am convinced that we continue on and that as the book is titled there is "Life after Life"! Although I miss them, I am at peace with the deaths of my parents in 1990 and 1995, believing that they both live on! I highly recommend this book to anyone who has lost a loved one or who themselves are dealing with a terminal illness.

5.0 out of 5 stars incredible book, December 17, 2010

I am a doctor who has witnessed death and have been told by patients that have been rescuscitated of their death experiences. Imagine my surprise when I found that Raymond Moody has collected hundreds of accounts of death experiences and references the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead discussing similar encounters! This book is so comforting to those who are facing death or have lost their loved ones. No matter what religion, race, age; all have similar stories. I found this book fascinating.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thought provoking, May 26, 2011

This review is from: Life After Life (Paperback)
This book invites the reader to dig deeper into one's conscience for the meaning of passing thoughts. Although it was written many years ago, the "actual cases/interviews" with people who experienced "near death experiences" (NDE) are timeless. I enjoyed the book.
