Unlike most American Jews, whose support for Israel is limited to words and money, Jack Bernstein actually "returned" to the "Jewish homeland" not as a tourist, or for a summer visit but to live and die in Israel as a committed builder of the Jewish nation. As he explains here in this punchy and persuasive booklet, his idealism soon turned to disillusionment. He takes the reader on a guided tour of Israel s history, institutions and values. He exposes Israel s sham and hypocrisy, revealing its oppressive, racist, militaristic, and parasitic character.

Bernstein speaks above all to the deceived and misguided American people, whose money, toil and blood sustain the Zionist state. As long as the US continues to support Israel, he prophetically warns, there will be no end to war in the Middle East, strife between Jews and non-Jews, and the brutal oppression of Palestinians.

Jack Bernstein's candid and concise expose of a Jewish American's disillusionment with a nation he thought was founded to better serve the interests of the world's oldest monotheistic faith is a very relevant and necessary book for our times. Bernstein's personal account of his experiences in Eretz Israel is a chilling reminder that self-righteous political demagogues can corrupt any society and use the guise of religion to promote disharmony and intolerance towards their fellow human beings. This book serves as a valuable educational tool that enables us to look beyond mainstream media reporting of the events occuring in a land that is consistently portrayed as the "only democracy" in the Middle East. After reading this insightful text, one may begin to question commonly presented facts of a country that has a special attachment to the United States, both spiritually and commercially.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wake up and evaluate both sides of every story! November 7, 2009
Format:Paperback
Let's look back at some Jewish history writing... there is one god who is an upright and just god, who does not like lies, theives, coveting, murder, etc.. Jacob cuts a shady deal with Esau for his inheritance while Esau is vulnerable. Is this a righteous and acceptable practice? Next Jacob tricks his father into thinking he is Esau and steals his inheritance/blessing. Is this a righteous deed by the god who laid down the laws of morality? How about this god telling Moses, et al, to go murder (genocide) the people of Canaan and steal their land? How about their belief that they are the chosen people of god and all the rest of us are just Goy?... or in not such a racist term, Gentile is used but means the same thing. Or how about that they are to own and control all the wealth and people of the world? Isn't this god the supposed creator of all people, we are all equally human, and what happened to these LAWS of morals? Hypocracy!

In these modern times anyone who attempts that and said god told them to do it, would be put in prison and/or a mental institute. So how and why do the Zionist Jews get away with their supremist, racist beliefs that are no better than Jim Jones, Charles Manson, and the rest?

How is it acceptable that the Palestinians got their country given away by some other governments and what did they do to deserve the holocaust they have been suffering? Why is it that the WWII holocaust is blown up so big, yet all the other holocausts of larger proportions, before and after WWII, don't get all the front page attention?

Does Mr. Bernstein speak with some bias? I don't know. But there is something we all do know; there's something going on in the world and it isn't right. Somewhere in the middle is the truth.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful Supplemental Data: August 1, 2010
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This very short book (purchased at amazon) is written in the style of a correspondent having an actual experiential knowledge as-well-as possessing the data of his research. While his report is given as one assuming the popular well-funded history-spin assumption of "ancestral" Jew, adding weight to it for the like-minded judaic community, for everyone else in the U.S. the information will probably be like discovering the country that you love has secretly also been and/or funded the bad guy in most of the world conflicts that it has ever been involved in.

While your a-typical selfish westernized materialistic person would probably, out of concern for the maintenance of his small piece of the Zionist establishment pie have merely laid the information aside and pressed-on with the Judaio-masonic engineered Western delusion to "go with the flow"; as a lover of humanity, his culture and truth, Jack Bernstein could not.

The regional history clarifications that he has given were short and to the point helpful. The Marxist cultural behavioral clarifications were also illuminating even though it pops the engineered idea bubble of a superior race of people acting, well, morally superior (a lot like Jenifer Dixon's book The Holy Land Unveiled).

From the "flesh" or relational-lineage perspective (Ref. Gen. 2:24, Mat. 19:5, 6, Jhn. 6:63, Rom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Timely and Terrifying May 4, 2012
Format:Paperback
Mr. Bernstein is among the other brave men exposing this worldwide problem, along with Norman Finkelstein, Arthur Koestler and Schlomo Sand. It seems in 2012 we're far closer to what Mr. Bernstein warns about. It looks like dragging the U.S. into a war with Iran is the last stage of the endgame. After Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq, how could American even tolerate the idea of getting involved in another worthless, sham of a Middle East war with Iran to benefit Israel? Only America can stop this and it's up to the people, not the government. Together we are stronger. Will be wake up before it's too late?
