I've been watching OLTL on and off for the past 20 years or so. This book brings back memories of previous plots + fills me in on stuff I missed. This book has interesting trivia about OLTL cast members, their characters + a quiz at the end.
It would have been nice, though, if the book contained more photos of past and current cast members. There are some pictures here and there in the book and they are in black and white.

I was very disappointed with this book. Expecting, from the title to be reading trivia about One Life To Live, I didn't expect constant references to other soaps. I was also disappointed that the author didn't appear to research the early years, instead, writing more about most recent storylines. What about Wanda and Vince and Meredith and Larry ?? In good conscience, I can't recommend spending the money on this book. jackie an avid reader and OLTL viewer

On January 13th, 2012 "One Life to Live" succumbed to that fatal soap opera disease: bad ratings and was cancelled after 43 years on ABC. However, I highly recommend this little softcover book on the series written by Gerard Waggett, writer to the wonderful "Soap Opera Encyclopedia" (1997 edition). The book is filled with anecdotes from the stars, writers and various producers over the years and gives the fans a good run down of the plots that took place in Llanview. There are also some neat tidbits: for example did you know "One Life to Live" was originally titled "Between Heaven and Hell" by its creator Agnes Nixon? A nice book at a fair price so if you were a fan of "One Life" buy this as its a great momento on one of broadcast television's legacy soap operas.
