5.0 out of 5 stars Perspectives on a Misunderstood Science, May 31, 2000
This review is from: My Life in Astrology: Star-Crossed Adventures, Professional Secrets and Case Histories (Hardcover)
This book gives personal accounts of the writer's involvement in Astrology. She reveals many instances of how this art has changed her life and the lives of others who have sought her advice. This definitely is not a "how to learn Astrology" book, but a wonderful tool for exploring the philosophy of how the alignment of the planets affects a person's behavior, or social climate in general.

Once again, the writing style is very warm and matter-of-fact, as is the case in all the writings of Sybil Leek that I have read. Consequently, it makes for a very pleasurable and easy read. Many of the examples of the use of astrology are drawn through many famous people who visited Mrs. Leek throughout her career - clients such as Ian Fleming and H.G. Wells. Astrological influences are detailed during historical events, such as the Second World War as well as the Vietnam War, which provide for extremely thought-provoking ideas.

The copy I own is 221 pages long, broken down into 13 short chapters. It is very autobiographical, in that it is written as the writer's journey in life, with astrology in the foreground.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who finds interest in astrology or philosophy. The ideas are very rich and stimulating. I truly enjoyed this book.
