The book that every birder must to have, July 7, 2000
This review is from: The Life of Birds (Saunders Series in Organismic Biology) (Hardcover)
This book is a legacy of knowlegement on the field of the ornithology. With just an overlook of the References you will see that is a very complete synopsis of the worldwide and long time research on the life of the birds. The chapters are divided in main topics covering anatomy and physiology, behavior, reproduction, ecology, migration, evolution and the relationship among birds and humans. Each chapter is widely undertaked, clearly described and illustrated. This is not only a good book to read but it is a great source of information that you can use all the time you need search for anything you want to know about the birds.

An Ornithologist's Joy!, October 1, 2007
This review is from: The Life of Birds (Saunders Series in Organismic Biology) (Hardcover)
I'm currently studying Ornithology for my college degree and this was the text book initially recommended to me. It is very dry for everyday reading but an excellent reference book that I have no doubt I will keep diving back into throughout my studies. If you are a true Ornithologist then you will find this book invaluable.
