"Life On A Chain" - Pete Yorn

Biography

His fifth solo studio effort and Vagrant Records debut, Pete Yorn sees the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter peeling away the baroque orchestrations of his critically acclaimed previous work to expose a beating rock ‘n’ roll heart. Much of the eponymous album’s remarkable raw power comes courtesy of producer Frank Black, who in 2008 invited Yorn up to a Salem, Oregon studio for some spontaneous… Read more in Amazon's Pete Yorn Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Do Get This Single!, April 23, 2002

I not much of a single's buyer, but I have to say this is a great one. Just get it to hear the song Knew Enough To Know Nothing At All; I wish they had included it on the original album. Plus very cool version of Dancing In The Dark. Get it if you are a fan of Yorn!

4.0 out of 5 stars It's as good now as it was 10 years ago, March 27, 2011
This review is from: Life On A Chain (MP3 Download)
This song was a breakthrough hit of sorts for Yorn back in 2001. If you remember it, you'll be glad to learn it's aged pretty well, though lots of bands have a similar sound now, so it's not quite as fresh. If you don't remember it, well, it's a poppy little song about love and regret, with enough grit to give it some grip. I say give it a shot, especially if you can grab it for the low, low price of $0.
