5.0 out of 5 stars amazing punk comp. is worthy of billions of listens
This compilation, along with all the other Fat Wreck compilations is really really good. If you are a new owner of this CD, i would recommend listening to Lagwagon, No Use For A Name, Good Riddance, and Frenzal Rhomb first. But its definitely a great CD as a whole. The only downside is the Swingin Utters song and the Wizo song, personally i can't stand either of...

3.0 out of 5 stars not just for being fat this album will be good.......
....ok ok I love fat comps....but this one is not the greatest....yeah I know the NOFX song is so great and the closed track from wizo and even mfatgg but that's it..this album has some nice unreleased songs from no use for a name and good riddance but after that starts a boring environment....I think it needed some propagandhi stuff......or something.....but don't get...

5.0 out of 5 stars Brent's idea of a great compilation, October 21, 2001

Anyone who remotely likes punk rock should definately buy this extremely good cd right now. It opens with an awesome song by Lagwagon, then Mad Caddies and No Use For Name. The Ataris kick some a** in the middle, and NOFX, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes and Wizo close it on a very positve note. I hope you enjoy, I mean i know you'll enjoy this spectacular punk rock compilation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some of the Best Songs Known to Man, September 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Life in Fat Lane: Fat Music 4 (Sampler) (Audio CD)
There are four songs on this album that are worth the full price. Lagwagon, the Mad Caddies, No Use For a Name, and the Ataris all put forth their best work on this album. These four tracks are worth the entire cd. I'll have to admit that the other songs aren't that great, but trust me, you will play these four songs over and over again in your player for weeks.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Fat music volume 4! It rocks!, June 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Life in Fat Lane: Fat Music 4 (Sampler) (Audio CD)
I bought this cd late compared to the other reviewers, but this cd must be really timeless because I love listening to this album and I bought it in 2009. I like almost all the tracks on this cd. A lot of these bands are underrated like: Strung Out, No Use For A Name, Lagwagon, Avail and many others. This is my first Fat Wreck Chords cd I bought and I think I picked the best, but I'm going to get more of this label. Survival of the Fattest and Physical Fatness: Fat Music Volume III are going to be the next cds I'm going to get. This album take me a couple of listens to make me love it!

My favorite tracks are: May 16 by Lagwagon, Coming Too Close by No Use For A Name, The Exumation Of Virginia Madison by Strung Out, Taken by Avail, San Dimas High School Football Rules by The Ataris and My Favorite Things by Me First & The Gimme Gimme's. This a great cd, I would recommend this album!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great comp., December 23, 1999
This review is from: Life in Fat Lane: Fat Music 4 (Sampler) (Audio CD)
Not as good as some of the other Fat Wreck comps, but still definitely a must have. In my opinion the best song on the comp is the Sound of Music cover by "Me First and the Gimme Gimme's"-""...these are a few of my favorite things...""remember. Aggressive punk rock with nice vocals, it's great.

I you like punk rock this is the CD for you. One of the things that I like the most is that you have differnt types of punk in one CD, such as: hardcore, street, etc. i don't know if this was very helpful, but oh well!

5.0 out of 5 stars PunkPixie, November 28, 1999
This review is from: Life in Fat Lane: Fat Music 4 (Sampler) (Audio CD)
This comp is pure ruckus! I absolutely LOVE it! Mad Caddies, Strung Out, and the Ataris especially go all-out on this one. The Me First tune is an added tastey treat. (something about hearing a punker say "schnitzel with noodles" just gets me every time...) I reccomend this to anyone wanting to add to their music collection a truly great collection of truly great bands.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Punk CD ever!, October 5, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Life in Fat Lane: Fat Music 4 (Sampler) (Audio CD)
Almost every song is good! Much Better than any other Fat Wreck Chords CD. Lots of bands with great songs is important to me and this CD had that. Except for Good Riddance, they're no good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Could be better, July 11, 1999

This review is from: Life in Fat Lane: Fat Music 4 (Sampler) (Audio CD)
This is a good CD not as good as the last one, but a few of the songs really dissappointed me. namely The no use for a name song. plus if you go to warped tour you can get this CD way cheaper.
