This is a very cool little product. I've only used it a few times, but it is extremely versatile, does what it is expected to do and is, so far, very reliable. The radio has great reception, the lights a very bright for a smaller lantern, and the controls are easy to use. I love it.

Ordered this after hurricane Ike knocked out power at my home for 5 days. Well made, very light and performs as advertised.
Small enough to actually put in a large jacket pocket. My only gripe is the dial not illuminated by the lantern. Haven't tried to charge it using the solar panel yet, but other then not being able to see the radio dial it is tip top.

I bought this for the upcoming hurricane season. I figured it would be good to have it since it is operable by AA battery(yes, i know that amazon.com says it uses AAA's but it takes AA batteries), solar, crank, or the optional ac/dc charger. Straight out of the box, and trying my best to read the instructions which seemed to have been translated from Chinese to English by someone who speaks neither, the LED's didn't work. Not by flipping the switch inside and using the crank. Not be reswitching the switch and using the inserted AA batteries. Nothing. The radio was fine, the siren, while not enough to alert anyone to anything, worked fine. The so-called TORCH, which is just a faint flashlight, about the brightness of a penlight operated by a single AAA worked fine. But this is a lantern, and the lantern did not work. This isn't exactly the quality of product I want to depend upon in a blackout. Shop around.
