This biography of one American frontiers man is an informative read. His participation in the Battle of Kings Mountain led to the end of the American Revolution. Turner tells his story from childhood to death. Sevier was an Indian fighter who led several campaigns against the Cherokee. He was one of Tennessee's early governors and became involved with the attempt to create the state of Franklin. One of the first biographies written about John Sevier: pioneer, indian fighter, patriot and governor of Tennessee. A worth while read for those interested in the history of the United States to the west.
