5.0 out of 5 stars For LFO, life IS good...and so is this album!
I think LFO is a great Boy Band. Their new single, title track to this CD "Life Is Good", is excellent and extremely catchy! The first single off this album, "Every Other Time" is still a great summer song but kind of overplayed a little by now. My new favorite track off this album is definitely "Life Is Good". 3.0 out of 5 stars Differnt Style for LFO
I'm a huge fan of LFO, and if you are to, you will enjoy their new album. Their self-titled album, was more boy-bandish, if you will. But, their new style is more edgy, fast and catching tunes. For you like their new single-"Every Other Time", you will most likely like this album. #1- their new single. #2: 28 Days- a catching song, displaying their new style...

But other favorite tracks from LIFE IS GOOD are "28 Days", "6 Minutes", "Alayna", "Gravity", "Where You Are", "What If", and "If I Had A Dollar". The lyrics are creative and original, which shows LFO member, Rich Cronian, has a lot of songwriting talent (he wrote the majority of the songs on this disc). Most of the songs on this CD are catchy and funky tunes with some ballads here and there. LFO's vocals combine great together, and they try to do a mix of Rap and Pop, as being mature, instead of the R&B/Pop most teen Pop artists are doing right now. This is a happy and have-a-good-time album; not some sappy, depressed album. That's probably why they titled this CD, LIFE IS GOOD. If you enjoy Boy Bands or looking for some great Pop music, then pick up your own copy of LIFE IS GOOD by LFO. It's great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Life is good, March 8, 2002
This review is from: Life Is Good (Audio CD)
This is LFO's second CD and it's somewhat better that their first. When I first heard "every other time" on the radio I knew it was them. I still really like their debut album so I knew I was probably going to like this one. Well I did. LIFE IS GOOD is a bit different than their debut. It's got more of a rock/hip-hop edge. Not so "boy band" sounding. This time around Rich took over on most of the writing and producing. You hardly hear Devin on any tracks (except two).

Rich sounds like his tongue's planted firmly in his cheek though out this album. He still throws out stupid lines like "I thought I might bust when she licked her lips" on "6 minutes." Like whatever Rich! LIFE IS GOOD shows LFO branching out into their own style & sound. Rich's silly raps, Devin's sultry vocals and Brads back-up vocals all blend well. Devin gets to shine on "If I had a dollar" and "the sun still shines." Those are two of the best tracks. LIFE IS GOOD indeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Life is Good for LFO, July 21, 2002
This review is from: Life Is Good (Audio CD)
LFO's new Cd rocks! This cd has great songs including Everyother time which you probably heard... 28 days is also a great songs with an awesome beat. 6 minutes is another great song to dance to. My favorite song is Alayna. It's the best song ever!
Erase her is an okay song. i don't listen to it that much. Dandelion is another good song, but not one of my top favorites. Life is good is an awesome song! i love it!~! Where you are is an okay song. What if and if i had a dollar are funny songs to listen to. I like those songs too! Gravity is a good song, but i don't listen to it as much as the others. The last on the CD i have is That's the way it is. i love that song! i would totally recomend this cd. LFO's style is so unique and the songs are so cathchy. I love this cd. You should buy it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Differnt Style for LFO, June 27, 2001

I'm a huge fan of LFO, and if you are to, you will enjoy their new album. Their self-titled album, was more boy-bandish, if you will. But, their new style is more edgy, fast and catching tunes. For you like their new single-"Every Other Time", you will most likely like this album. #1- their new single. #2: 28 Days- a catching song, displaying their new style. #3: 6 Minutes- one of my personal favorites. Upbeat and catchy. #4: Alayna- not a big fan of this song, very repeatitive. #5: Erase Her-also not a big fan of this song, but has an upbeat tune to it. Worth listening to. #6: Dandelion- a song which is featured twice of this album, the lyrics are very nicely-written, with an upbeat mix. #7: Life is Good- very funny and good song. Features MOP-very upbeat, lyrics again are well-written. #8: Where You Are- you just have to hear this one, kinda hard to explain, but displays there more of their hip-hop style. #9: What If- the represents more of the old LFO style (which is not bad), could of easily been on their last album, one of my favorites. #10: If I Had A Dollar- the title is kinda weird, but the song is not. Good meaning in the song. #11: Gravity- one of my favorites also, very upbeat way of describing the feeling of love. #12: That's the Way It Is- a good inspiratioal song saying that's just the way life is, and it will change and get better. Kinda upbeat. #13: The Sun Still Shines- the closest to a ballad of the album. Lyrics again are well-wrriten and you get to hear more of Devin. Overall, the CD is well produced and written, as we know, they or should I say Rich wrote all the lyrics to all the songs. Which I like more, because I respect them more as artists. There new style works well for them and I hope you will go out and buy it and I hope my review was helpful to you.

5.0 out of 5 stars I can't believe I liked this album... a lot!, December 8, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Life Is Good (Audio CD)
I'm a frat guy, football player, meathead. I can't believe I liked this album. It really is unbelievable. Almost every song on there is great, not to mention the best hidden track I have ever heard. My friends, who made fun of me for buying it at first, now ALL own this album. The album features Dela Soul and a bunch of other rappers, and every beat is catchy, though some are a little gushy. On a whole, this was the most pleasantly surprising album that I have ever bought.

Ok, when white boys act all b-boyish and tough it makes me hot. However when their music stays in my head and doesn't embarass me then it's even better. LFO came out during the kamikaze attacks of the boy bands and somehow always shined a little brighter than the others. With hot rhymes, soulful vocals, and pretty freaking catchy lyrics they got my attention. With Life Is Good they may have not appeal to their average audience but actually can match their other musical peers on ADULT radio. Biggest stand outs on the disc: the debut Every Other Time which seems close to Summer Girls, the rastah infused Alayna, Duran Duran sounding Erase Her, and my personal favorite - Dandelion, of course the version with Kelis is sweeter than the original. Now what future do the boys have? Definatly a bright one but it seems like all promotional work for this albu mhas been done and both Bryan and Devin are coming out with solo projects while Brad already released his solo protoge along with his new record label 111 Records.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lyte is Good, March 8, 2002

This review is from: Life Is Good (Audio CD)
I bought this album after hearing "Life is Good" and "Every Other Time" on the radio. I usually don't like so-called "boy bands" but all I can say about LFO is WOW. They exhibit incredible maturity and musical talent. Lead singer Rich Cronin has a wonderful, rich (no pun intended), distinctive voice. Justin WHO??? ;-)
My favorite tracks are "Dandelion," "Every Other Time," "That's The Way It Is," "Life Is Good," "Where You Are," and "Alayna."

I dislike the fact that LFO is lumped in with the likes of 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys, because LFO's talent is on an immensly higher level. They are perhaps my favorite overall group, and that's coming from an alt-rock fanatic.

Anyway, LFO IS INCREDIBLE!!! If you like excellent music of any genre, check out this CD for upbeat, well composed songs that just sound awesome. Very yummy CD. ;-)

3.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes it's Black, Somtimes it's White..., February 22, 2002

This review is from: Life Is Good (Audio CD)
LFO never struck me as sensational, but then again, boy bands seldom do. Their first single "Summergirls" was downright annoying. But when I heard "Every Other Time" the first time, I thought they deserved another chance, and I was right

"Life Is Good" is a major improvement from LFO's debut: Don't get me wrong. But I feel cheated, somehow. I've regarded LFO as the non-assembly line boy band. They didn't harmonize and tap toes until very recently. So, why did that change? What happened to happenin' hip-hop funk that WAS LFO?

The album is impressive, that's undeniable. From the very poppy (and yet unique) "Every Other Time," you can tell this is not going to be a conventional album. "Dandelion" is incredible, and I love the mix with Kelis. "I thought she was a flower, but I found out she's a weed."

"Alayna" is very classic LFO; heavy trip-hop pop with classical beats. The name dropping continues on this album: Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, James Dean.. it just goes on and on.

Don't be offended by the three stars. I think this is a really good album, if LFO can continue with this kind of improvement, I might just become a full-fledged fan.

If you dare to be different, Lyte Funkie Ones are the band for you.
