This book is so poorly written that I gave up on reading it after the first few paragraphs. The grammar is questionable, and the wording is redundant. It was a waste of a download. I believe that these 15 existing positive reviews must have come from the author's family and friends, not unrelated readers.

Life Got In The Way is about two girls that met in college and stayed friends throughout there ups and downs in life. Parts were just strange how it was written. It felt like after the book was written she went back thru it and added more words to make the book longer. It was a book that really didn't go anywhere. I wanted to just put it in my "Not Worth Finishing" file on my Kindle but then it would pull me back in and kept me thinking it will get better. I did finish the book but I would not recommend it. There is too many great books to waste your time on this one. Sorry.

I thought this book was about the friendship between two women. I was completely bewildered why it started, then, with a male character. It just set the tone in such a weird way, and looking back, proved that the author identified these women with the men in their lives, and not their lives on their own merit. I liked the relationship between the two and I wish it would have been more about that than their man troubles. At the end, Jackie basically falls of the face of the earth (because she met a new man!) and Dana rekindles a relationship with the guy from the beginning (so she doesn't have time for Jackie anyway!). Just, ugh. Could have been so much better and more interesting.

This book kept taking penetrating glances at the obvious. There wasn't a believability in the characters and the plot direction was apparent from the get go.

I fought my way through the first 5 chapters, trying to convince myself it had to get better eventually. It didn't. I'm not sure where the fantastic reviews are from - did they read THIS book?

Wordy is the best way I can sum up what I did manage to get through. The author seems to favor using overly-descriptive run-on sentences that are unnecessary and add nothing to the plot. I began to wonder if she had a word count requirement before she could publish.

With some serious editing, it may be a worthwhile read - as is, I can't recommend it, especially not at its current price point ($8).

This book is really poorly written. I cannot understand how it has so many stars. Not only is it poorly written, but the characters do not pull you in at all. I don't know how i managed to get 60% through the book before quitting. part of that is because i was reading at work and i was just hoping it would get better. I hate to give up on a book, but i just couldn't stand it any longer. Not only is it annoying to read, but I don't care what happens to any of the characters and that is a bad sign considering 40% of the book remains.
