John Kay Steele Does Excellent in Portraying Christ!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Life of Jesus, Vol. 1-2 (DVD)
I saw this on TBN, and i was just surprised that the Actorthat played Jesus Christ actually looked like Christ himself. I really enjoyed this picture. From all the actors that i have seen in the past, the one here, John Kay Steele, looks like Christ even his performance was Magnificent-John Kay Steele played the Character Beautifully-A Very loving, and Caring Christ... it was just beautiful. I really would have enjoyed if John Kay Steele would have played Christ Again in Mel Gibsons Film The Passion-I think i got that Correct. Any way, Phenomenal picture, recommend it to All who read this message. In real life Christ cares for All, no matter the decade, the time or place, or where one even comes from-Christ just cares/loves You Always & Forever!

Good Job TBN!,
By Glen Sutton (Cleveland, TN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Life of Jesus, Vol. 1-2 (DVD)
This is a a great production on the life of Christ and is Biblically accurate. This movie could have been longer and would have got the five stars from me had it been. But that is probably the only drawback of the film other than the fact that part two seems to be almost identical to part one (although I didnt get to finish part two because my DVD kept messing up). Overall, it is worth buying and would be a good Christian movie to show to the kids and guests.

I purchased this DVD because of the good reviews I read and price. It was certainly worth the price. The acting and cinematography left much to be desired, and the timeline was unfollowable. The individual events themselved appeared accurate to scripture, and in truth the Bible cannot be read as a narrative with all events following a chronological sequence; but when watching a movie one expects a certain amount of streamlining and storytelling which just isn't here. Particularly misleading is the fact that there are two volumes. Be aware that the volumes are not 'part one' and 'part two' of the story of Jesus. They tell the same story with different scenes, or possible different takes of the same scenes. This DVD could certainly be used as a graphic tool in teaching some of the events in the gospels, which is particularly useful when teaching children, but don't expect a cinematic tour de force, because you won't find it.

Untold Life of Jesus,
By Bee "Tronic" (NY, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Life of Jesus, Vol. 1-2 (DVD)
This is the worst film of the life of Jesus. It tells nothing of the life of Jesus and is really one HD slideshow but in motion. When you turn on the movie all you see is someone doing something that you will have to know appears to be like what happened to Jesus. You need to know the story to follow the acting because it seems as if this story took place a few years ago. The actors are so bad that you even have to figure out that too. I think someone just made a home movie and went into business with High Tech DVD burning. I get better acting than this in junk mail DVDs. The only people that should get this movie is the actors, so they can say I did star in a movie in my life thanks to the life of Jesus. -99

I found this DVD very entertaining. Although it is not an epic motion picture it still has good acting for it's low budget production, and is scripturely based on the life and times of Jesus of Nazareth. However, it would be better off making it one continual playing DVD instead of Vol. 1 and 2.

Jesus Christ DID exist,
By EWG (Midwest) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Life of Jesus, Vol. 1-2 (DVD)
The assertion that Jesus Christ never existed by a reviewer below is beyond ridiculous. Whether you accept Him as your savior or not, his existence is thoroughly documented in many sources, including from those who were hostile to him and would have preferred he didn't exist - the Romans and the Jews. We have many reliable ancient Roman and Jewish texts from the time period of Jesus that corroborate his life and the message of the Gospels.
Only the most rabid, fanatical atheists deny the existence of Jesus. For factual information corroborating the existence of Jesus, I recommend "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel.
