I picked up this book at random cauz I was looking for a nice down to earth memoir to read.
I did enjoy NeSmith's story of how she became a nurse and her views, in general, on the medical profession.
Written in a concise manner, she does not spend tons and tons of time (and writing space going on and on. In fact, this book is quite small and can be read in a very short time.
So, why the 3 star rating?
This book is best suited for people who have an interest in nursing. There is not much in depth look at her life and the life lessons are limited to those involving the medical profession.
I found it a little boring unfortunately.

Life, Lessons and High Heels, April 10, 2005
This review is from: Life, Lessons, and High Heels (Paperback)
This is a fun little book written in an easy to read style. The book documents the life of a nursing student struggling to make the mark in a tough arena. I felt like I was sitting at the table over a cup of something warm & comforting while the author told me her story. Nurses and nursing students everywhere will be able to relate to the experiences in this book. Read, enjoy, laugh! This would be a great book for college students to read--especially nursing students!!! It's a great stress releaser!!
