It is a wonderful collection of knowdedge and common sense. Robert Savage uses humor and inspiration to drive right to the heart. I knew the man and he practiced what he preached. He spent 28 years as a missionary in Ecuador and 22 as a pastor in the United States until his death in 1987. His jolly good humor his kindness and his genuine love for others are reflected in his words in Life Lessons. These are sayoings accumulated over 50 years of living life to the fullest.

This is a super book. If the world could learn these lessons we would have no war, no disfunctional families, no depression.

These lessons come right from the Word of God.

It is an excellent book. Some of the quotes I like:

1. Be a patient pedestrian. Otherwise, you will become a pedestrian patient.

2. If you want to speak your mind, mind what you speak.

3. A wise man thinks what he says; A fool says what he thinks.

It is full of every day wisdom.

Wow - what an inspiration - and it did not make me feel guilty. I like this book and it liked me. This guy has obviously lived some and shares in a simple yet purposeful way - it is right for me - and it will be right for you unless you're too stoick. Enjoy God - this book shows you who He really is - personal and free.

We have been using Robert Savage's book since the 1980s when he came out with his series Pocket Prayers, Pocket Wisdom and Pocket Smiles. Now the best of the best are combined in a new edition called Life Lessons. It is attractively laid out and makes for an excellent devotional book, teaching guide for juust a few chuckles. They are funny, homespun, down-to-earch and heartfelt.

We use Life Lessons in our weekly Biuble Study class. We take one page of lessons each week and use the pithy points of wisdom to guide our descussion. It provides a great springboard with a place to land back on to keep us on focus.

I start each day with Life Lessons. The lessons get me chuckling, thinking and praying. I begin the day with good humor and joy. Some of the quotes are a bit corny, but always quaint and they make me smile.
