I bought this as a gift and we had fun putting it together and using it. The construction is good although the track doesn't slot together completely flush but good enough to work (it does require quite a lot of force to slot the track together and pull it apart and because of this you have to be careful not to snap the pieces of track you're slotting together- it can be a little tricky because of the force required).
This track is great value but it is limited to the configuration pictured on the box (figure 8 track). Therefore, it can get a little dull after a while of racing the cars around the track. It may be possible to buy additional track to make new configurations, however, I can say for certain.
Overall, for the price for this sort of toy, this offers great value.

Not as great as they were when I was growing up. My son loved the idea but was frustrated by the track coming apart so easily. After a couple weeks of play, the wiring inside one of the trigger guns came loose. I opened it up and fixed it several times. Great idea, poorly made

Unfortunatley this item had to be returned. Parts did not fit properly, so it couldn't even be put together to play with... overall this product was cheaply made.

I thought I would get this for my 3 year old and thought "Well, if he doesn't like it, no big deal, it's only 20.00." Well, he didn't like cause it never really worked right!!! Putting together was real easy but the cars would not stay on the track and there was going slow with the controller, it was either wide open or nothing....and wide open made it go off the track....What little bit I was able to play with it he liked it so I went and bought a good track/cars so he could really enjoy them...I wouldn't recommend this at all!!!

Race track could be lots of fun if it worked properly. When we first opened it both controllers and both cars worked for a while and then only one controller continued to work. When the cars worked you couldnt race them as fast as they could go because they would not stay on the track. Not worth the money or the time spent to put it together. Our little guy was very disappointed it had to be returned....

My son loved this but the cars kept flying off the track and not from the speed, they would just slipped off at the one curve, don't bother buyin.

This is the biggest pice of junk I ever purchased. My son is so dissapointed. I set it up according to the directions. The first thing that happened is the guardrails kept falling off so they didn't last but 5 minutes. After getting it all ready (new batteries and all), I set the cars on it and... NOTHING! I changed the connecters and checked all the track and then the cars would move a for a moment (not even a whole trip around the track). By then (this had been about a 3 hours even just to get this far) I gave up. Came back to it yesterday and carefully redone everything and guess what... yep, NOTHING! I can't even get the cars to move a little. My son is heartbroken. I took it all down and put it in a sack since we already got rid of the box with the Christmas trash.

Bought this item as a gift for a young boy. Very disappointed when it didn't work. Only one controller actually made a car move. cheap chinese knock off. don't bother. Returning and hoping for a refund.

We had to send it back because the controls never worked at all. Luckily we were able to get a prompt, complete refund, no problem at all.

I was very excited to order this track for my 2 sons only to have them play with a total piece of junk on Christmas morning!!! The cars do NOT stay on the track and the guard rails literally fall off if bumped even the slightest! Now only ONE of the cars will even work! I'm so terribly dissapointed with this track - would NOT recommend to anyone! I would've liked to rate it ZERO or NEGATIVE!
