Grandson had gotten a train for X Mas that was of poor quality and returned. This one appeared to be a definite upgrade and was when received. However, after operating for 2 weeks the engine's rear wheels came off and we cant get them reattached. Appears poor plastic application from China.

I was very excited to find this set for my 5 year old grandson and he was equally excited when he opened it. However, I feel the quality is poor where it really counts, like the wheels and couplers. In one day the engine coupler proceeded to fall off with regularity. It is difficult to set the train on the track so it makes proper electrical contact, the rail don't fit together smoothly so it was altogether frustrating.

FOR THE PRICE, IT'S AN OK TRAIN SET. TRACK GOES TOGETHER OK BUT A BIT OF A PAIN TO TAKE APART, YOU HAVE TO BE X-TRA CAREFULL NOT TO DAMAGE THE TRACK. THERE ARE SOME SPOTS ON THE TRACK WHERE THE TRAIN LOOSES POWER BREIFLY THEN CONTINUES ON AT FULL SPEED.
