Editorial Reviews

Product Description
What can we say at this point? Unbroken's Life Love Regret is by far the most influential heavy hardcore album ever released from the West coast, hands down. This album ventured far beyond any of their previous releases.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best (hardcore) band of all time, December 11, 2003
By consumer123 "dnaeye" (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
If there is one band that defines (at least on stage) what music means, it is this underappreciated band from San Diego. I've listened to lots of different kinds of music since my hardcore days - techno, jazz, hip-hop, etc. - but one band I will never forget, and that's Unbroken. They epitomized music and its potential to power the expression of emotion and thought with integrity, honesty, and amazing music. If you love hardcore, you must educate yourself to Unbroken. R.I.P.

5.0 out of 5 stars Immortal masterpiece, November 22, 2001
By A Customer
Words cannot do justice to this record. It is over the top hard hitting slow grinding new school HC (with a fast part here and there) which was so popular around that time. But not as generic as your average "chugga-chugga" mosh band. These guys were musicwise far ahead of the rest and lyricwise it is very dark and gloomy (nearly poetry) full of bitterness and anger...

5.0 out of 5 stars What the hells wrong with this picture., September 6, 2001
By curtis (Virginia Beach,) - See all my reviews
I find it hard to believe that no one has reviewed this record. Well as the first and can definitely say that this record is in the top five best hardcore records of all time. Each song is filled with pure emotion, with lyrics that touch on very personal experiences in their lifes. Musically you have extremely well written, heavy hitting songs. They have that 90's hardcore sound that borrows from slayersque style metal, but of that genre they certainly rise above the rest. This is a real, heart felt record and well always have a place in my music collection.
