Going through a difficult time in my life, this book has brought me wonderful, positive inspiration. It has made me realize that my temporary hardships can be overcome. I thank all of the contributors who created this magical piece of work. It is truly a gift.

I bought this book with the intention of giving it to my mother, but after reading some of the inspiring stories about the incredible drive and hardship these women have overcome, I puchased another copy for myself. The books layout is straight forward and easy to follow. I would instantly recommend this book to anyone, man or woman. Many thanks to the author for assembling such a diverse and interesting group of women. This is truly a unique inspirational book.

There are a couple books I keep around to read when I'm having one of those weird days when things are just not going well. This is one of them. Really good messages from many women about how they cope with the crises that life throws at us. Short messages, chapters, easy to read just a little bit and put it down for later. Reading this book just makes me feel better. Also sent one to my mother.

I picked this up and began reading, and I didn't stop untill I finished it. All I wanted to do was dive into my own work and not let any thing stop me. I was so touched and inspired by these women's stories, that I cried, Laughed, and have maintained heartfelt feelings for these women. It made me want to strive to be the best I could be in my own life.

Josephine Carlton promises "inspiration for the spirit" in her
profound "Life Messages", and she delivers on all fronts. I enjoyed learning about the lives of so many different types of compassionate, professional, women who have overcome their personal hardships. "Life Messages" is certain to remind readers to appreciate the time we are given, and to remember to put things in perspective. Ms. Carlton states it best when she writes "Please read these words, learn from them, and reflect upon their messages."

I really enjoyed this book. I found it extreamly insightful into inner workings of the female thought process. The prespectives revealed in this book are very useful in every day life in my relationships with my wife and daughter. I think every father and husband should read this book!!

Take one generous part wisdom and two parts encouragement, shake well and add a big group hug. That's what Josephine Carlton has done in this pint sized inspirational and empowering book filled with casual interviews of women from varied walks of life.

Getting through hard times with grace is often difficult to do -and hard to maintain. Yet, just knowing that others have succeeded with with little more than their weary spirit at times, is what makes us believe in life's possibilities. Let down your shoulders and relax...this book quietly reminds its reader that it's okay to sit still and rest your tired soul. You're among friends.

This wonderful, chunky little book followed me around in my bag and now adorns my night table, where it is available and uplifting - and yet, intimately mine.

This is a must read for anyone who is interested in others. Carlton has masterfully compiled the tales of couragous women in a way that we can enjoy and learn from.

I personally loved the spiritual strength of these different women and am inspired to push harder through my own difficulties.

Life messages was truly a revealing book for me. I found myself drawing comparisons and opening my mind, helping resolve issues in my own life. The messages in "Life Messages" also served as a reality checker for me. I think everyone could get something out of this book including men. The women Josephine Carlton interviewed were not just the rich and famous, I appreciated that. This book is one of a kind!

Josephine Carlton's book "Life Messages: Inspiration for the Woman's Spirit" is so full of hope, it is bursting at the seams with examples of what we can do when we simply put mind over matter and do our very own personal best.

Any time I'm feeling down or apathetic, I pick up this book and just let it open where it may, then read what Life Messages's message of the day is for me...It's really hard to feel pessimistic about life when this book is chock full of reasons and examples of how and why life is so amazing.

Birthday, Mother's day, anniversary, condolence, first day of school-this book is a great gift for any occasion! You won't be disappointed...
