The Life of Mohammed [Paperback]

Book Description

August 2002
This book was first published in 1830 so it should be clear to the reader that the author, George Bush, was never a president of the United States. It is unclear to the publishers if a genealogical connection exists. The author was a Christian minister and respected scholar who held degrees from both Dartmouth and Princeton. Reverend Bush was not afraid to express his opinions, having once called the doctrine of the resurrection nothing more than a fraud. This book is similar in tone, being a critical study of Mohammed and Islam. Despite the evident bias of this work, the reader is still presented with many interesting historical facts regarding both Christianity and Islam.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not politically correct, but insightful, April 5, 2005
This review is from: The Life of Mohammed (Paperback)
I don't believe this book is as biased as much as it contrasts Christianity and Islam in 1830. A ten year girl was one of the prophet's four wives, a well documented practice still condoned in SA today. Contains interesting historical data I was unaware of, or is neglected by politically-correct works of today...
