5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Great, April 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Life and Nothing More... [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I actually went to watch "Where is my Friend's House?" but ended up watching this second installation in the so-called Earthquake Trilogy by Abbas Kiorastami as well. All I can say about his movie is that it is a must-see for any film enthusiast. Although it plays like a documentary and you don't know which parts of the movie are actually scripted, there is not a moment where the viewer wishes it to be over. The movie pulls you in gradually and it is perhaps for this reason that you unnoticeably lose the sense of watching whatever is unfolding on the screen from the outside. Like Kiorastami's other work, this put a smile on my face.

Another masterpiece from Iranian master filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami. Although this style of filmmakingmight leave the American audience confused, upon repeated viewing, the true beauty and art of this great filmmaker becomes apparent. This movie deals with the tragic earthquake that happened in Northern Iran in the early 1990s.
